This ensures that when purchasing a Predator, you’re not only buying a quality machine, but investing in a cost-effective grinding solution that gets to work quickly. All predator grinders use the Multi-tip cutting wheel system that comes standard – so each tip can be changed in under a minute minimising downtime.
ST-661 - accessible and affordable handheld grinder
At under 25kgs (dry and without guard), the ST-661 is a lightweight, high performance stump grinding attachment for the Stihl MS 661 chainsaw. It is an affordable, access-all-areas solution for even the smallest arborist firms. No more lost profits on subcontracting or hire. Its light footprint makes it perfect for removing stumps in delicate areas like flowerbeds or lawns.
P360 - the compact manual grinder
The Predator P360 is superbly built with a low centre of gravity to make grinding easier. With convenient lift points and a clever fold-over handle. This machine can fit in any sized ute, trailer, van or truck with ease, making it perfect for the smaller Tree Surgeon, Landscaper or Hire Company. Like all predator machines, the P360 comes with standard with Multi-tip.
The central pivot provides a 1.22m swing which reduces fatigue on the operator by more than 40% and makes the job much quicker. Predator’s trade mark build quality and narrow access design ensures you can rely on accessing those narrow paths and getting the job done hassle free every time.
The Predator 38X has the specifications of a large grinder - 1140mm swing, 450mm cutting depth, 812mm cutting height and 38 horse power - yet it will fit through a 670mm gateway, making it the narrowest machine available in it’s class. The Multi-Tip system also makes for easy work with a guaranteed 25% minimum efficiency increase over standard finger teeth.
Shares the same impressive power as the P38R but radio controlled. It requires a little more investment, but offers excellent visibility and improved operator safety: You can grind a stump without having to stand at the back of the machine, vibration levels are zero, and control is absolute. The controller even has a range of 365m and operates on it’s own unique frequency.
The Predator 50RX is the only large, 50HP machine on the market that can get in anywhere. With variable width rubber tracks, the base travels from 1170 to 790mm at the touch of a button, to fit through gates less than three feet wide with ease. It also includes radio control via the incredibly reliable Scanreco G2B system, offering the feel and control of a hydraulic leaver.
With a powerful, air-cooled Hatz Silent Pack diesel and a 710mm Multi-Tip wheel, the P65RX achieves an incredible cutting depth of 680mm, while still fitting through an 890mm gateway. Attachments like the Dozer Blade, Tow Ball and Flail/Mulcher are suitable for mounting to the rear, and we include an auxiliary hydraulic service when you order a P65RX with an attachment.
What our customers say
We find the service, quality and back up service second to none - they are fine made machines. We found if there is a problem it’s fixed straight away unlike American or English products where you have to wait for parts to ship.
One of my favourite features of the C21 is that its road towable, it makes it so much easier if you want to use it at a different location, you’re not restricted. I’ve had over 25 years’ experience with Hansa Chippers, it’s great to see the advancements it’s made with its machines.
I love the manoeuvrability yet sturdy build and fantastic power output. It is VERY fuel efficient - on light duties, the tank lasts a day! I have chipped anything from leaves and small plant matter right through to large branches.
The Predator stump grinder doesn’t just nibble at tree stumps – it eats them! The ease of operation is brilliant, once you've used it for a few minutes, it becomes second nature. The controls are well labelled and given the size and power of the machine it doesn’t spread debris everywhere, making tidying up that whole lot easier!
